Summer Series: 2024
The Latest Skeena & North Coast Fisheries Updates
What’s happening with Skeena salmon and steelhead
SkeenaWild Executive Director Greg Knox and Fisheries Biologist Kaitlin Yehle, outline this season’s preliminary outlook and in-season updates for salmon and steelhead across the North Coast, Skeena and other tributaries in Northwest B.C. They also give updates on the current environmental conditions to give you up-to-date information on the actual returns we’re seeing.
The information in the video is provided by the Department of Fisheries and Oceans, First Nations fisheries programs throughout the Skeena Watershed, Nisga’a fisheries and the Nass, and the provincial government.
As always, with nature, things can change quickly; we encourage everybody to make sure if you’re going to go fishing to check the fishing regulations with DFO and the province to ensure you have the most up-to-date information.
