Risk Consent* I acknowledge that participating in the summer camp activities with SkeenaWild involves certain inherent risks, including but not limited to outdoor activities, sports, and interactions with nature that could result in injury, illness, or other unforeseen events. I understand that the camp organizers and staff will take reasonable precautions to ensure safety, but I recognize that accidents can happen. I consent to my child’s participation in the summer camp and agree to release SkeenaWild Full, its organizers, and staff from any liability related to such risks. I also authorize the camp to seek and consent to necessary medical treatment for my child in case of an emergency. By signing this consent, I confirm that I understand and accept the potential risks associated with the summer camp activities.
Code of Conduct* SkeenaWild is dedicated to fostering a supportive educational environment and developing socially responsible citizens. The organization upholds rules and standards of behavior for camp participants to ensure the well-being, freedom, and rights of all community members.
I. Standards of Conduct
Certain behaviors are prohibited and may result in disciplinary action, including; 1. Disruptive conduct that threatens or interferes with program operations. 2. Making threats, whether in person or through electronic communication. 3. Unauthorized recording of camp activities. 4. Sharing virtual meeting IDs outside of camp activities. 5. Engaging in inappropriate behavior or substance use during camp activities. 6. Possessing or displaying weapons or items that could cause harm.
II. Penalties
Violations of the Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, including:
1. Disciplinary Reprimand: Verbal warning with notification to parents or guardians. 2. Loss of Privileges: Restriction from specific camp activities or sessions. 3. Expulsion: Removal from the SkeenaWild program with parental notification.
Refund Policy* If a participant needs to withdraw from a SkeenaWild camp; a refund may be given up to one week prior to the registered camp start date. No refunds will be issued for a withdrawal from a camp with less than one week notice prior to the registered camp start date.
In case any of SkeenaWild’s camps fail to meet their minimum capacity requirement one week before the scheduled start date, SkeenaWild Conservation Trust reserves the right to cancel the camp and provide a full refund of the registration fees. If you have registered for a SkeenaWild camp and need to withdraw, you can receive a refund up to one week before the camp’s start date, but a $25.00 administration fee will be deducted from the refund. However, no refunds will be given for withdrawals made less than one week before the camp starts. Withdrawals made within the one-week period might be eligible for a refund if the Camper has a medical condition that prevents safe participation. In such cases, a doctor’s note must be provided, and any refund may be subject to a $25.00 administration fee. It is possible to transfer your camp registration to another camp, but it is subject to available registration numbers. There is no fee for transferring to another camp, or for cancelling from the waitlist.
Parent/Legal Guardian Authorization* I certify that I am the parent or legal guardian of the child I am registering. In consideration of SkeenaWild allowing my child to take part in Camp activities, I the PARENT/LEGAL GUARDIAN of the minor/applicant agree to indemnify and hold harmless SkeenaWild, its servants, agents or employees from any and all claims or demands which might be made against it arising out of or in consequence of the attendance or participation of my child in the various SkeenaWild Camp activities, and as his/her/their parent or legal guardian I consent on his/her/their behalf. I shall indemnify and hold harmless SkeenaWild officials and any of its officers, employees, servants, agents and contractors from any and all loss, liability, claims, or expenses arising out of the operations of the SkeenaWild Camp and in the provision of care for my child, except to the extent that such loss arises from gross negligence of the SkeenaWild camp officials.
